The construction of the new clubhouse and golf course in 2017 brought a new vision of excellence. A brand-new championship golf course designed by world-renowned golf architect, David McLay Kidd. The luxurious 70,000 sq. ft. clubhouse designed by one of the most celebrated clubhouse architects in the West, Robert Altevers. Club amenities include, championship golf course, 400 yard double-sided driving range complete with nine regulation greens that can double as a Par 3 executive course, golf academy including state-of-the-art technology including Trackman, Boditrak, and SAM Putt Lab, tennis courts, athletic facility, aquatic center, kids club, elegant spa, fine and casual dining, magnificent banquet event spaces, secluded conference rooms, stately locker rooms, and world class service distinguishing Rolling Hills Country Club as the preeminent leader in the private club experience.Job Purpose:Mix and serve drinks to members and guests, directly or through wait staff.Tasks:* Check identification of members/guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.* Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.* Attempt to limit problems and liability related to members excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.* Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.* Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer.* Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from members.* Clean bars, work areas, and tables.* Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.* Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.Work Activities:* Performing for or working directly with the members and/or guests.* Making decisions and solving problems.* Guiding, directing, and motivating subordinates.* Communicating with supervisors, peers, or subordinates.* Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.* Judging the qualities of things, services, or people.* Handling and moving objects.* Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.* Documenting/recording information.* Coordinating the work and activities of others.* Provide customer service.* Assist patrons to make wine selection.* Mix drinks or flavors for mixed drinks.* Check ID to ensure minimum age requirement is met.* Clean rooms or work areas.* Serve food or beverages.* Understand government alcoholic beverage service regulations.* Recognize customer intoxication.* Any other duties that may apply or that are assigned.* Follow all procedure manuals and safety.Work Context:Requires repetitive movement, requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, requires standing, requires telephone conversations, requires face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams, requires contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise), requires dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people, requires making decisions that impact the results of co-workers, clients or the company, requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization, requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over, requires coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities, requires work with external customers or the public, requires work with others in a group or team.QualificationsSkills:Basic Skills:* Active Learning* Active Listening* Critical Thinking* Learning Strategies* Monitoring* Speaking* WritingSocial Skills:* Coordination* Instructing* Negotiation* Persuasion* Service Orientation* Social PerceptivenessComplex Problem Solving Skills:* Complex Problem SolvingSystems Skills:* Judgment and Decision MakingResource Management Skills:* Time Management
