Bartender – Full Service

Cedar Point

This is a Contract position in Sandusky, OH posted March 28, 2020.


As an associate in one of our Franchise Locations, you will assist in serving food, preparing beverages, cooking food, following recipes, and providing world-class guest service. These operations include:

• Full Service Restaurant and Bar Operations – TGI Friday’s, Famous Dave’s

  • Age Requirement: 21 years old      


Successful Cedar Point associates have the ability to:

  • Take initiative and maintain the company’s reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting as well as work independently.
  • Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, including speaking in front of groups.
  • Utilize problem solving skills, including working in a fast-paced, service-focused culture.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests of the bar and service bar, following standard recipes and the company’s policies; merchandising drinks; and is attentive to guests, making them feel welcome, at all times.
  • Operates P.O.S. system, enters orders, accepts payment, makes change correctly, and accurately conducts credit card transactions.
  • Looks for visual and verbal cues to identify the experience the guest wants and customizes the service to meet those expectations.
  • Resolves minor issues if they arise with guests’ orders.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair’s attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair’s attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
