Stocks bar.* Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.* Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.* Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.Travel RequiredNot requiredSupervisory statusNoPromotion PotentialNone* Job family (Series)7405 BartendingSimilar jobs* Bartenders* RequirementsHelpRequirementsConditions of Employment* Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.* Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.* A one year probationary period may be required.* Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.* Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.* Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.* Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.* Incumbent is required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.* Regularly lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Stands for prolonged periods.* Work is primarily indoors. Exposed to cuts and bruises.QualificationsCandidates must:1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.5. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.6. Skill in mixing drinks.7. Applies simple arithmetic in calculating bills and making change.8. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action.9. Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory.EducationThis job does not have an education qualification requirement.
